With gift shopping, preparing the house for visitors, cooking and baking to organise, you probably have a lot to juggle as Christmas approaches. Being prepared before the Christmas rush hits will save you a lot of time and stress - allowing you to relax and enjoy the holiday season. Do some of your Christmas food shopping in October or November, buy presents early or order them online, and make a list of what needs to be done. Ticking tasks off your list gradually throughout November and December will ensure an easy, stress-free Christmas.
The easiest way to make what I am talking about here real is to look and keep looking for the evidence that joy is all around you, and when you begin than process, you will begin to see small things happening all around you. Dont stop, keep looking and feeling the better feelings that come with it.
Joy is the dominant emotion of the Christmas season. The emotion is such a strong vibration that when you are aligned with it, you experience your life as magical and wonderful. When things are not working as you would like, when you are feeling less than happy, you are simply misaligned. When you fall into a state of bliss, magic happens. I say, when you fall into it because so few are skilled at the knowing of how to set up the condition in which it is natural.
If there is an annual holiday tree lane in your community, you can drive down the street each year and let your kids enjoy the sight of elaborately decorated houses and Christmas trees. If the weather permits, everyone can enjoy a stroll. The entire family can also get some inspiration here, about what decorations to hang on the tree back home. Making this part of the family tradition will let the kids see how other homes celebrate their Christmas.
If youre cooking for a lot of people, chances are your kitchen (and fridge) just wont be able to cope with the volume of food required. Not to mention, trying to cook and prepare everything yourself can be a huge burden. By delegating certain tasks or meals to different family members or friends, you can make your job much simpler. Let other family members take care of cold dishes like salads and desserts so you can focus on the hot dishes and save room in your kitchen. Remember, you dont have to do it all yourself - youre always entitled to ask for help from friends and family!
