The snow showers are falling. The hills and lanes are covered with a white sheet of snow. The bells are echoing and the skies are filled with glittering star. It is Christmas. Christmas season comes once a year. It brings a bundle of joy and gay. Christmas is the birthday of the divine son. God took the form of man to save people from sin. According to the Gospel, one day the angel Gabriel came to a virgin named Mary at Nazareth and greeted her hail full of Gods grace! You will conceive by the power of the Holy Spirit and give birth to a child (Luke 1:28:38).
On the outset, Jesus had one message - that the purpose of life is the pursuit of joy. There is nothing more and nothing less. Without a single spoken word, Jesus, born of no worldly riches, brought the experience of joy to the world.
Do you really need a Christmas tree, a wreath, and fairy lights? Is a Christmas playlist really necessary? Do you really need six types of Christmas cookies? Taking on everything at once and trying to control every detail will just cause unnecessary stress. Every family has their own traditions and special requirements - so stop and think about what matters most. Is it the decorations? The food? The people? Make a list of the three most important details for Christmas, and focus on them first and foremost. The other little details arent as important as you having a stress-free day and a good time!
Everything you ever got in your life, whether it was a situation, or circumstance or an event or physical reality, it was always preceded by thoughts. There was no physicalness to its reality, and it began with a thought. What you desire is becoming when you are happy. It is moving into manifested reality. And it is the state of joy that allows for it to show up. This is what Jesus meant when He so often said ask and it is given and believe it and it shall be.
Christmas doesnt have to be elaborate to be enjoyable. A simple BBQ or casual meal with family will do just fine - as will just one gift per person. Good music, good company and plenty of food is enough to keep most people happy.
